Who does not love cookies? Baked these lovely batch of almond chocolate chip cookies a couple of weeks ago using my good old chocolate chip cookie recipe. These are really simple to bake so read on to find out more!
To tell you the truth I always bake cookies when my butter is expiring. Just because I love my butter and am always afraid that we do not have any butter at home. If you know me I really dislike wasting food so am always finding ways to use up everything before it expires.
These cookies is soft and gooey on the inside especially when its freshly baked. Just take a moment and let your eyes feast on the shiny soft chocolate. The almonds add a little crunch to the cookies. The best part about this is these are real simple to make. But do make sure to use good butter! Yes good butter makes a difference to the taste of cookies.
The recipe is the same as my chocolate chip cookie recipe but I also added 1 cup of slivered almonds!
I added in the almonds at the same time as the chocolate chip. AND instead of making those big cookies, I formed them by rolling them into 1 teaspoon cookie dough balls.
