How we usually come up with dinner plans when we have no idea what to have for dinner.
The Wife: “What are we having for dinner tonight?”
The Husband: “How about this? ( starts sending links of sometimes unusual recipes via FB)
And that was how we decided to have this Waffle burger. The “burger” patty the Husband made was different from how he usually makes burger. Read on to find out how!
The recipe he sent me was a DIY Waffle Taco from Taste of Advantage by Tablespoon and it was way before we saw Taco bell’s Taco waffle! I don’t know how that will taste but this here is good stuff. I love the combination of sweet waffle, savory meat and cheese and a dash of spicy sriracha!
What you need.
Cheese ( we used Gouda because we always have it)
Scramble eggs ( however you know how to make it)
Crispy bacon ( the best way to prepare bacon is to bake the bacon at 200 degrees Celsius for 15-20mins or till golden brown)
Meat patty ( recipe below)
Recipe for baked meat patty (makes 6 muffin size patty)
300g minced meat
5 slices bacon ( chopped)
salt and pepper
Pre heat oven to 200 degree celsius and lightly coat muffin tins with oil/butter.
Mix everything in a medium size bowl. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and stuff it in the muffin tin.
Bake for about 30mins or till done.
The meat patty comes out looking like it was steamed and was ultra juicy!
